The manifestation of seizure in patients can be in the form of abnormal muscular movement occurring at the extremities and it can cause sudden fall to the patients which can lead to injuries. MEMS accelerometer MPU6050 is used to acquire the signals from the extremities to detect abnormal movements and sudden fall. The signals are received through an interfacing device named Arduino Uno and are processed using LabVIEW software. The Wavelet transform is used for detecting the changes in movement of the extremity and a thresholding technique is used for seizure detection and fall detection. Once a seizure or fall is detected then a message is sent to the caretaker through GSM.Keywords

The technique which uses sound waves to navigate, communicate or detect objects under the surface of sea water is commonly known as SONAR. Recognition and interpretation of objects is an important task in the sonar image processing. The resolution of the examined image is not adequate to classify the objects separately and is mainly affected by the multiplicative noise. The main focus of this work is to implement post-processing technique by entropy filter along with morphological processing for object identification. Relative analysis on the observed results with existing techniques of edge detection implies that the proposed work improves the result of target identification. Furthermore, removal of noise in the sonar image is also discussed in this paper.Keywords

Diabetes or otherwise known as blood glucose level among the people is a serious issue to be considered nowadays. There are three types of diabetes namely TYPE 1 which occurs due to destruction of beta cells, TYPE 2 which occurs due insufficient secretion of insulin into the cells by pancreas and the third one GESTATIONAL type which occurs during pregnancy. To detect blood glucose level at present there are device like glucometer which is handheld and can be detected by the people in home itself. The other one is the professional testing method in hospitals. The drawback in these two methods is that they are invasive type of detection which includes needle incision which may lead to pain among the patients, the patients may feel uncomfortable or they may get panic. This paper deals with the study of non-invasive methods of detecting diabetes which will be helpful to extend the work in future for both the patient and also to the country since the invasive methods are considered the costly one.Keywords
